Faith Ringgold: Coming to Jones Road

Faith Ringgold’s art work was being shown at Gallery Bergen (Bergen Community College) and at The Puffin Cultural Forum (Teaneck).
The Coming to Jones Road event culminated with the performance of a newly-commissioned jazz suite by Rufus Reid, composed to celebrate Faith Ringgold, at the Ciccone Theater – Bergen Community College. It was wildly successful. The interweaving of my music with the spoken word the theater department presented impacted the audience incredibly. No one wanted to leave. I hope this project, “Coming To Jones Road,” will be presented again…and again!
