The Rufus Reid Quartet at Blues Alley, Washington, DC

I am delighted to be celebrating my 80 years of Jazz at Blues Alley
with:
Steve Allee – piano
Tim Horner – drums
Antonio Hart – alto saxophone

I just completed four sold out days performing my big band music at JALC’s Dizzy’s Club in New York City. I have not performed at Blues Alley for several years. I am totally delighted to be asked to bring a quartet for Saturday and Sunday, Nov 23 – 24, respectively. I am truly looking forward to this opportunity in this infamous venue. I always enjoyed the intimacy of the bandstand in Blues Alley.

I hope to see old friends again, and hopefully make new friends. I will be presenting music from my last two Sunnyside Records; CELEBRATION and IT’S THE NIGHTS I LIKE. We will also play old favorites and originals. Hope to see you there!
