2016 Harvard University Jazz Master In Residence
Posted: March 31, 2016
I cannot tell you the thrill one gets walking around Harvard! This Residency is such an honor. I have already met with the Harvard Jazz Band and am looking forward to the concert April 9, under the direction of Yosvany Terry. This hall is fantastic. It was inspired by Christopher Wren’s Sheldonian Theatre at Oxford, England. I cannot wait to hear my bass in this theater! I also have the honor to meet with The Harvard Wind Ensemble, conducted by Mark Olson, for a rehearsal of my composition “Joy In the Oasis.” I think it will be a whirlwind week full of fantastic experiences.
