The Living Legacy Award ~ Celebrating 20 Years

Come to The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts  ~  October 10, 2014.  The Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation is honoring Joanne Brackeen this year for her contributions as pianist and composer, with the BNY Mellon Jazz Living Legacy Award.  It is also celebrating 20 years of honoring jazz musicians as Living Legends.  Previous Legacy Awardees have been invited back to help celebrate this 20th Anniversary.  With me will be Roy Haynes, Jimmy Heath, Richard Abrams, Kenny Barron, Reggie Workman and Larry Ridley.   I invite all of you to come too, and bring your friends!  Reception and Award presentation followed by a performance by Richard Abrams!  Please contact Karen Newell at karen@midatlanticarts.org or via telephone at 410.539.6656 x104 for your tickets.

A Millennium Award was conferred on Dr. Billy Taylor in 2000.
