So Many Thank You’s

This past month has been a tremendous time for me. I thank you all for your help making the release of the “Quiet Pride” CD a wonderful event. The April issue of JazzTimes has a beautiful article “Art To Art” by Giovanni Russonello and even a photo to remind us what I looked like when I was younger, with black hair!

Gary Walker of WBGO, 88.3FM, spent an hour with me talking and playing Quiet Pride. Link »

Paul Peace on his Cool Jazz Set Radio show did a two hour show for my birthday! Link »

Evolution of an idealist written by Todd Bryant Weeks for the February Issue of The Musician’s local 802 Allegro Magazine was beautiful. Link »

The Wall Street Journal put my photo in the header and included a well-crafted listing by Will Friedwald for the CD Release at The Jazz Standard.

Nate Chinen of the New York Times gave me a beautiful listing for the CD Release.

My local newspaper, The Record, of the North Jersey Media Group, gave me a beautiful article written by Jim Beckerman. All these things contributed to a successful CD launch and gave us a sold out evening at the Jazz Standard to celebrate.

I had a great conversation with Tomas Pena. Check his blog, it was very well written.

Many articles appeared online. Google ‘Rufus Reid, Quiet Pride’ and settle in with a cup of coffee!

It has been fantastic. I thank you all.
